2019 is the 4th time that the Faculty of Dynamic Engineering in conjunction with the Youth Union of Cao Thang Technical College organizes a "homemade model car race". This is a prestigious academic playground for many consecutive years, encouraging the passion for research, helping students catch up with the development trend of modern science and technology. This year's theme is called "Future Car" with some new breakthroughs in technology.
In this competition, NGK Vietnam Spark Plug is honored to become a Silver Sponsor and Media Award Sponsor. Accompanying the school, NGK spark plugs have had many activities before - during - after the competition, received great follow-up and positive response.

Within the framework of the program, the Organizing Committee cooperated with NGK Vietnam Spark Plug Company and Idemitsu Lubricant Company to organize a technical workshop, supporting the teams to know how to use and maintain the engine scientifically and correctly. The workshop received positive feedback and was judged to be rewarding.

On 25th May, 2019; the preliminary round of the competition took place at the school. This year, there are more than 400 students from 80 teams registering for the exam from 10 universities and colleges in Ho Chi Minh City. After nearly 4 months of designing and building vehicles, through 2 rounds of technical inspection, 49 teams qualified to participate in the preliminary round to select 27 teams to the final round taking place on 01/06/2019. Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thanh (Head of Department of Dynamic Engineering of Cao Thang Technical College, Head of the Contest Organizing Committee) said that this is a place for students to create and apply the knowledge they have learned to design ideas, build engines, program control on mobile phones through wifi protocol internet remote model car control... Participating in the competition, students also have the opportunity to share knowledge and skills between professions, exchange and learn between schools.

To help the contest spread more and motivate the children, Bugi NGK calls on the online community, relatives, friends ... watch and share video clips made by the teams on Auto Cao Thang fanpage and NGK Vietnam Spark Plug. Each video clip lasts only 3-5 minutes but still condenses the unforgettable emotions and experiences of the team when building a car to participate in the Minicar Racing 2019 competition. The team that wins the most support will win the Media Prize worth VND 15,000,000. The results are checked and statistics in a transparent manner and are publicly published daily.
Up to now, the contest has found the owner of the Minicar Racing Media Award 2019, which is the Auto Win team members from the 17B Automotive College class, Faculty of Dynamic Engineering, Cao Thang Technical College, far ahead of the runners-up with 47,485.
