On the morning of 27th March, 2021; at Thang High Technical College (HCMC) took place the launching ceremony of the "Mini Car Racing" contest - 6th - 2021, organized by the Faculty of Dynamic Engineering in collaboration with the Youth Union. Attending the ceremony were representatives of Cao Thang School Board, sponsors: Nhat Huy Khang, Motul and NGK spark plugs. Besides being a Silver sponsor, NGK Spark Plugs are also the sole sponsor of the Media Awards – one of the important awards within the framework of the competition.

In addition to the main sponsors, the ceremony also had the presence of some representatives from THACO Thu Duc dealership, SoluCA Graphics Technology Solutions Co., Ltd., Mobile Car Care Vietnam Co., Ltd., Minh Luan Auto Company; University of Technology, University of Technical Education, Nguyen Tat Thanh University, Saigon University, Van Lang University, Ho Chi Minh City College of Economics and Technology HCM, Southern College, Thu Duc College of Technology, TW3 Transport College,... and nearly 300 students are members of 60 teams.

Mini Car Racing is a rewarding academic playground combined with high practice for students. This is also an opportunity to exchange and learn and exchange experiences of different faculties, different universities/colleges in the Ho Chi Minh City area.

In the first seasons Mini Car Racing was controlled by a traditional RF transceiver and ran on a track with fairly flat terrain, the competitiveness was not high. In 2018 – 2020, the competition has a landmark change, the competition cars apply 4.0 technology (IoT) remotely controlled by phone via WIFI system. The theme of this year's contest is called "Discovery Future" - affirming the aspiration to reach the top technology - green, clean, modern - to touch the future. Hopefully, the later, the designs of the teams will be more sophisticated and perfect than before.

During the launching ceremony, the representative of NGK spark plug sponsor - Mr. Tran Thanh Kha, Director of the Company - gave a brief speech about the role of the company in the season, as well as expressed his interest and active support for the school and students. On the same day of the event, he also personally presented many gifts of spiritual encouragement to the students.
